BMW is about to unveil a new version of the S 1000 RR, the HP4. A model that will oversee the sports range of Bavarian firm.
After the Megamoto and HP2 Sport models, BMW is about to launch a S 1000 RR HP4. A more sharpened umbrella for range of sports brand.
This HP4 benefit from several developments aimed at improving the peformances and reduce weight. The bike would gain about 10 kg with new rims, Akrapovic exhaust system and quality materials for dressing.
Level engine, a mapping review would slightly improve performance and meet or exceed the 200 hp (officially, unofficially it is already the case on the bike today …)
The bike would also have more advanced electronics, ABS with traction control and a more responsive. Finally, the HP4 could be the first to benefit from the system bike BMW DDC (Dynamic Damping Control), the first suspension system known as “active” developed in F1 in the early 90s. Simply put, the laws of depreciation are not changed by a mode selected on the handlebars (as ESA currently), but in real time depending on driving conditions encountered!
Some rumored that the bike will be presented in September at a rate close to 20 000. BMW still has not release yet, but this new HP4 should be present at the show in Cologne in October.
